​Dr. Rachelle Rogers-Ard is an educator and administrator with over 25 years’ experience modeling and teaching Leadership Development using culturally-responsive approaches. Rachelle demonstrates expertise as a Social-Emotional Learning expert to support educational organizations create systems designed to grow and retain educators across disciplines and divisive sub-cultures.
 
Dr. Ard managed Teach Tomorrow in Oakland, a federally-funded program within the Oakland Unified School District focused on building systems to support the recruitment and retention of teachers of color for eight years.  Currently, Rachelle is the Executive Director of the Office of Organizational Effectiveness & Culture within OUSD. 
 
Rachelle is the author of several publications; her most recent chapter, The Burden of Admission, Profile of an African American Female Educational Leader appears in Envisioning a Critical Race Praxis in K-12 Education through Counter-Narratives, Croom & Marsh, eds., 2016. 
 
In her “spare time”, Rachelle is the mother of four and the founder, composer, and co-director of the East Bay Anointed Voices, a contemporary gospel ensemble.
